If it were any era, take me back to the 50’s any day, when a classic trench denoted all things film noir and a deliciously long coat was the final touch of sophistication to every outfit. My weakness is for an androgynous and boxy long coat that is knee length or below, and this grey coat by Anna Quan is everything.
Being overwhelmed by your outfit is always a pitfall when styling a long coat. Therefore, skinny jeans is always a good idea, and a cropped length, even better, to show a bit of skin in between. For the same reason, I always reach for short booties, or, in this case, Tibi mules, which stop conveniently at the ankle. Accessorising simply but boldly is also a clever way to break up those long lines, and in my case I’m debuting my dreamy THP Shop Bound Cuffs.
